During the park shuttle season, private vehicles generally cannot drive Zion Canyon Scenic Drive. Use the park shuttle and check its current schedule. The hike is 4.8 miles round-trip and is covered with lush trees and plants. The best time of the year to go is late spring, summer, and early fall. A permit is required for Kanarra Falls. The standard permit is $15 per person plus tax and processing fees; children 7 and younger are free. Trailhead parking is free.
