Summer is approaching and you’re probably looking for some fun things to do. You can’t let all that sunshine go to waste! We made a list of some fun things to do in SLC this upcoming Summer. Check out our list of places to visit, and plan some of these activities for your Summer.
1. Great Salt Lake State Park
Summertime is perfect for being outdoors and enjoying your favorite outdoor activities. Great Salt Lake State Park has some fun outdoor activities for you. Go boating or fishing to enjoy the water. If you’re looking for something not on the water, there are places to camp, hike, and mountain bike.
2. This is the Place Heritage Park
This is the Place Heritage Park is a place where your kids can enjoy part of their Summer. Pony rides, train rides to tour the village, panning for gold, and food! There are many activities to choose from that will keep your kids entertained for hours. Bring your kids to the candy or donut shops and give them enough energy to wear themselves out. Also stop by the gift shop at the visitors center to get your souvenirs!
3. Seven Peaks Water Park
Who doesn’t love going to a water park when the sun is out? Seven Peaks Water Park is a great place to go and have some in the sun. This water park has water slides, wave pools, lazy rivers, splash boats, and more! Prices for the water park range from $5-$25. If you need a bite to eat while at the park, the newly remodeled Amazon Grill is right inside.
4. Sugar House Park
Sugar House Park has 110.5 acres of green for you to enjoy. The park has areas for group gatherings, sports fields, and children’s play areas. Bring a group of friends and have a good time together. The park is open from 7a.m. to 10p.m. every day, giving you and your friends plenty of time to enjoy your activities.
5. Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum
Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum is another great place on our list of things to do in SLC for your kids. Located in the Gateway Mall, the museum has workshops and programs to get your kids involved in hands-on fun. Parents can get involved in these activities also, helping the whole family learn and play together!
