Whether you enjoy hitting the slopes in Sun Valley, or commute to Twin Falls for work, Salt Lake Express just made your life a little easier and a lot more affordable. The shuttle company has added multiple daily routes between Twin Falls and Sun Valley starting Thursday, November 14th, 2024.
The shuttles will run between Twin Falls, Hailey, and Sun Valley four times daily. The company has also discounted their seasonal rate to only $7.50 for one way. These discounted rates will allow commuters and locals an affordable way to make daily trips if necessary. This added service will also make for more connections to Boise, Salt Lake City, and southeast Idaho for those in the Magic Valley region.
“Riders now have more flexibility and options when it comes to commuting back and forth between Twin Falls, Hailey and Sun Valley,” said Jacob Price, owner of Salt Lake Express. “This is just one of those things where we saw a need and wanted to provide a solution that was both accommodating and affordable.”
For commuters in the area this is likely to make a direct impact. Not only for those wishing to save fuel and not worry about parking, but also for those who may not like to drive in winter conditions. These routes and seasonal discounted fares are available to all travelers, including those traveling within Idaho, out-of-state travelers, and especially commuter travelers. The daily routes are also expected to alleviate traffic caused by multiple van pools.
“This particular corridor has been identified as high use,” said Kathy Pope, community relations director at Salt Lake Express. “It will help massively in a few specific areas- It will really help to relieve traffic congestion in the corridor. The more people that buy in and choose to ride over driving themselves will certainly help with emissions and environmental impact. And lastly, it is going to be a great option for skiers heading to enjoy the slopes at Sun Valley. Imagine being able to pull right up to the lodge, not having to fight for a parking spot, then get picked up and head directly home.”
The main stop/loading location in Twin Falls is at the Chevron Oasis Stop-N-Go at 1390 Blue Lakes Blvd. As previously mentioned, the route includes stops at the Twin Falls Airport, Shoshone, Hailey, Ketchum, and finally Sun Valley. The turnaround destination is right at the Sun Valley Lodge, located at 1 Sun Valley Rd.
With the addition of new routes and schedules to better serve the entire Intermountain West along with the Pacific Northwest, Salt Lake Express has a need for more drivers.
